NBA Global Games -- Nets edge Kings in OT, 129-117

CHICAGO -- The Brooklyn Nets needed an overtime session to dispose the Sacramento Kings, 129-117, yesterday at the MasterCard Center in Beijing, China.

Mirza Teletovic was the main man for the Nets, scoring a game-high 22 points, including a back-breaking 3 that allowed Brooklyn to pull away in the five-minute extension. But it was a complete team effort for the Nets, who hauled 46 rebounds and dished 30 assists against 20 turnovers.

Seven-footers Mason Plumlee and Brook Lopez combined for 34 points and 11 rebounds and provided much of the Net's inside strength. All-Star point guard Deron Williams finished with 13 points and 8 assists for Brooklyn, which made 43 of 84 shots and 12 of 25 triples.

Down 112-09 with 27 seconds to go, Omer Caspi swished 3 to send the game into overtime, much to the delight of the 17,130 fans who witnessed the NBA Global Games event.

Caspi finished with 16 but it was Rudy Gay who led Sacramento with an all-around fare of 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Ben McLemore added 22 while Darren Collison pitched in 18.

The Kings made 39 of 85 shots but they missed 18 of their 31 threes. Sacramento fell to 1-3 in season play while the Nets remained unbeaten at 3-0. (Homer D. Sayson)
