CHICAGO -- Jameer Nelson has found a new home with the Dallas Mavericks, who signed the veteran point guard to a two year deal.

As reported by ESPN, Nelson will be paid $2.7 million for the 2014-15 season plus another player option for $2.8 million the following season.

The 6-foot, 190-pound Nelson played all 10 of his NBA seasons with the Orlando Magic where he averaged 12.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 651 regular season games. He was the No. 20 pick (Round One) of the 2004 NBA draft.

The 32-year old Nelson joins a deep Mavericks team that already has veterans Devin Harris and Raymond Felton occupying the point guard slot. (Homer D. Sayson)
