
NBA -- Kings win 2014 Summer League title

CHICAGO -- The Sacramento Kings uncorked 27 points in the fourth quarter to turn the tables on the Houston Rockets and capture the 2014 Summer League title Monday night at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.
Ray McCallum racked up 29 points for the Kings, including 3 triples to help the Kings rebound from a 60-52 deficit in the final 5:28 of play. Ra'shad James finished with 12 for Sacramento while Ben McLemore added 9 points and four boards.
The Kings finished tournament play at 6-1 and they shot 27 of 65 from the field and 8 of 22 form 3-point range in the championship showdown. The Rockets, meanwhile, made only 24 of their 75 field goals and missed 19 of 24 triple attempts. Houston dropped to 5-3 overall.
Nick Johnson paced the Rockets with 17 points, including a highlight dunk in the first half that brought the house down. Seven-foot center Donatas Motiejunas added 16 while Isaiah Canaan contributed 15 points and six assists. (Homer D. Sayson)
