
PACMAN AND CEBU WIN IN PLDT-ABAP NATIONAL BOXING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2014 QUARTERFINALS

DIGOS CITY, DAVAO DEL SUR - The PLDT-Association of Boxing Alliances in the Philippines (ABAP) National Boxing Championships quarterfinal matches continued to thrill the boxing aficionados here with host Team Pacman-Digos and Cebu City prevailing in most encounters.
Philippine National Games gold medalist Junriel Jimenez of Cebu scored a TKO due to injury win over Reymark Jay Ibones of Lutayan, Sultan Kudarat in the second round of the Youth Boys Flyweight (52kgs) Division.
Youth Boys Bantamweight (56kgs) fighter Jorge Edusma of Cebu outpointed Cagayan de Oro City fighter Marvin Esquierdo with a unanimous decision win.
Another Cebu City pugilist Kit Ceron Garces scored a UD win over Giovanne Argate of Leyte Sporys Academy in the Jr.Boys Flyweight (50kgs) division.
Jericho Sahohito of Team Pacman defeated Mounsour Grullo of Maasin City in the Jr. Boys Light Flyweight (46 kg) category.
Gerald Alvarez also of Pacman defeated Reymart Foster of Sorsogon via UD in the same weight division.
Patrick Cagunay of Pacman scored a split decision win over Oliver Genecera also of Pacman in the Jr. Boys Light Bantamweight (52kgs).
Ryan Moreno of Pacman scored a TKO win on the second round over Joel Ramos of Tayabas, Quezon in the Youth Boys Pin weight (46kgs) division.
Jorge Edusma won by UD against Marvin Esquierdo of Cagayan de Oro City in the Youth Boys Bantamweight (56kgs) bout.
Falcon Cris Ocana of CDO scored a TKO win on the second round over Jumar Aquino in the Jr. Boys Light Bantamweight division.
Mario Jaga of Bago City prevailed over Romer Dagoy of Zamboanga City by split decision in the Jr. Boys Bantamweight match.
Ronnel Ausa of Quezon defeated Elric Pamisa of CDO via UD in the Youth Boys Pinweight division.
Marvin Tabamo of CDO scored UD over Reynante Ganal Jr. of Occidental Mindoro in the Youth Boys Flyweight division.
Gilbert Rey Jerusalem of Camiguin edged Jeric Ferrer of Tayabas, Quezon by SD in the Youth Boys Bantamweight category.
Jaybee Canedo of Camiguin eliminated Giovanie Gaviola of Pacman by TKO 1st Rd. in the Youth Boys Pinweight class.
Ryan Torres of San Fernando City, La Union triumphed over Rey Tagulaylay of Pacman by UD.
Regel Lou Alde of General Santos City outscored Edwin Galvez of Pacman by UD in the Youth boys flyweight (52kgs) category.
In the second day of the quarterfinals yesyerday, Cagayan de Oro's Jovane Casem defeated Cebu's Marco Pomar in the Youth Boys Light Flyweight (49kgs) division.
J-Mar Jaga of Bago City won by split decision over Joe Paul John Tanudra of Cebu City in the School Boys Paperweight (44kgs) division.
Marvin Pomar, Marco's brother, entered the semifinal round after beating Edgar Gaviola of Team Pacman via unanimous decision in the Jr. Boys Pinweight (46kgs) category.
