SOUTHERN LEYTE ANNIVERSARY BOXING TOURNAMENT SEMIFINALS

The semifinal bouts of the 54th Southern Leyte Founding Anniversary Boxing Tournament were conducted Thursday at the Maasin City Terminal.
Ariel Malinao of Maasin City defeated Alvin Rosal of Leyte Sports Academy (LSA) by unanimous decision in the 25kg. division.
Ariel Bacaro of Matalom won over Josue Maquiling of Tomas Oppus by UD in the 25kg. category.
Jerome Silva of LSA outpointed Alvin Gopio of Matalom by UD in the 28kg. category.
Jhayvie Donaire stopped Jove Jay Entia in the 30kg. category by TKO, both were from Maasin City.
David Maquiling of Tomas Oppus prevailed over Adrian Aguelo of Maasin, both 36 kg., by TKO.
Melanio Anduyan of LSA edged Mateo Maquiling of Tomas Oppus, both 45 kg., by split decision.
Leo Domingo Napuli of Maasin dominated Geovanne Argate of LSA by UD in the 50 kg. division.
The final bouts will be held Friday.
