Froilan Saludar is used to knocking out his opponents in the past but tonight in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, the tables were turned against him - as he suffered a 2nd round knockout in the hands of fellow flyweight contender, McWilliams Arroyo.

Both fighting for the right to challenge for the IBF flyweight belt in the future, Saludar traveled to Arroyo's country looking for a knockout of his own but was caught clean with a devastating left hook from the Puerto Rican fighter which ended the night early for the Filipino.

After being tentative in the first round, Arroyo wobbled Saludar early in Round 2 with a left hook and then unleashed another powerful left hook at the 2:25 mark that sent Saludar cold in the canvass.

Saludar was flattened after the hit but he tried to get up and beat the count but was unable to do so after the referee reached the full count of 10.

This is Saludar's first defeat of his career (19-1-1, 12 KOs) while Arroyo improves to 15 wins and also a lone loss, with 13 knockouts - but none as beautiful as the one he dished out tonight in front of his hometown fans at The Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez in Bayamon.
