Lucky "Batang Quiapo" Salvador defeats Rhaky "Roj" Constantino

Lucky "Batang Quiapo" Salvador shocked Rhaki "Roj" Constantino , 8-6, in their TV table matches to remain in contention in the ongoing J &P 10 Ball Cup being held at Pacman's Cue Club, located at the Lower Ground Floor Worldwide Corporate Center on Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City Friday night.

The 41-year-old Salvador, a resident of Quiapo, Manila built a 5-2 lead. However, Constantino bounced back winning four consecutive racks for a 6-5 lead. But Salvador won the next three racks to clinch an 8-6 victory.

"It was an intense battle," said Salvador, a former student of World Champion Alex Pagulayan.

Earlier, Salvador won by default against Luis Rubio then followed an 8-7 come from behind victory against Benjie Guevarra.
Guevarra, a former Snooker champion got a 5-1 lead but collapsed in the end game.

"I'm just lucky against Benjie Guevarra. A comes from behind victory,' added Salvador, thrice champion in the 2024 Winner Take All 10 Ball Tournament in Manila.

The champion will take home the top prize of P50,000 and an all-expenses-paid trip to Japan (sponsored by Navigator Japan) to compete in the Japan Open 2026.

In other matches saw, Iris Ranola downed Francis Lumpero, 8-5, Sean Mendoza beat Lewis Ng, 8-1, Atoy Malony edged Ar John Caballero, 8-7, Clent Sumalinag blanked Rowel Austria, 8-0, Junmark Alegate defeated Denden Santos, 8-3, Josan Deocaseza nipped Oven Cena, 8-7, Janshef Ladiana dealt Carmelo Ibay, 8-4, Richard Vencing waylaid Alvin Barbero, 8-6, and Oliver Jabar smashed Jacob Namial, 8-3.

The 10 ball tournament was held in cooperation with Puyat Sports, Pacman's Cue Club, Navigator Japan, Steel Blue, Seijo, MAPPA, Sunville Trading Inc., Goldmade, MLA Trading, and former International Billiards/Snooker champion Marlon Manalo.-Marlon Bernardino-
