Jun ?Hercules? Doliguez avenged the only loss of his young career, with a Unanimous Decision victory over Gabriel Francisco Pi?a of Baja, California, Mexico last Saturday night in Tijuana, Mexico.

Doliguez garnered scores of 78-74, 77-75 and 77-75 to defeat and exact his revenge on Pi?a, who dropped him once en route to a Unanimous Decision win of his own when they first met on April 5 of this year.

?Pinatunayan ko kay Pi?a na ako talaga ang panalo sa unang laban namin,? said Doliguez, who improved his record to 19 wins (14 KOs) against 1 defeat and 2 draws.

(I proved to Pi?a that I really won our first fight.)

Doliguez narrated that he wobbled his opponent in the 3rd and 6th round and that Pi?a suffered a cut in his eyebrows during their 8 round featherweight match.

The Malungon, Sarangani fighter also stated that he was more aggressive in this fight as compared to their first encounter, where he was sent to the canvas by a hard right from Pi?a in the first round.

?Ngayon kasi agresibo po ako. Hindi nagkumpiyansa. Noong first fight kasi po ay sobrang relax ako at kumpiyansa rin. Kaya gusto ko agad ng rematch,? Doliguez told Philboxing.com.

(I am aggressive this time. I wasn?t too confident. In our first fight, I was too relaxed and confident. That is why I really wanted this rematch.)

Their match was the final bout of the evening of a Zanfer Promotions event last Saturday at the Auditorio Municipal in Tijuana that featured David Sanchez and Jackie Nava. Sanchez and Nava won their respective matches and were awarded with world titles as a result of their victories. Because their match was the last bout, Doliguez and Pi?a?s match was not shown on television in Mexico and in the United States.

Doliguez returned to Los Angeles, California from neighboring Mexico last Sunday. He is planning to go home to the Philippines soon as he waits for his next fight. He has been in Los Angeles since February, where he trained for both fights with Pi?a.
