Former world champion Malcolm ?Eagle Eye? Tunacao was victorious against Joo-Hyun Jung (6-3-1, 2 KOs) of South Korea last Thursday night in Japan where he is now residing and training.

The Mandaue City fighter and former WBC Flyweight Champion scored a Unanimous Decision victory in 8 rounds over Jung with scores of 79-73, 79-74 and 78-75 at the Shimadzu Arena in Kyoto, Japan.

This is Tunacao?s second straight win after failing at another world title crack last year against the talented WBC bantamweight champ Shinsuke Yamanaka.

Tunacao went down in weight (he weighed 115 ? pounds during the weigh-in) and another division (Super Flyweight) for this fight after campaigning in the Bantamweight (118 pound) division for the last 9 years.

?Medyo piga ako sa Super Fly sir, pero sa awa ng Diyos, kaya pa naman. Disiplina lang talaga ang kailangan.? said Tunacao who improved his record to 34 wins (20 KOs) against 3 defeats and 3 draws.

(I am a bit drained as a Super Fly sir but in God's mercy, I can still make it. All I need was to be disciplined.)

Tunacao, who is now fighting, training and residing from Kobe in Japan is looking forward to more fights this year in the 115 pound class.
