CHICAGO -- Day 1 of the 2014 NBA Draft Combine wrapped up Thursday afternoon at the Quest Multisport facility here in the Windy City.
Of the 60 prospects taking a shot at the NBA, the planet's premiere professional basketball league, one kid stood out.
His name is Jordan Clarkson. He is Flilipino-Ameircan, whose mother --- Annette Davis -- is originally from Angeles City.
"I look forward to hopefully play in the NBA. I've worked so hard for this and I'm excited. I also hope to one day visit the Philippines," Clarkson told PhilBoxing.com.
Clarkson is a 6-foot-5, 193 pound guard who can play both 1 and 2. He has dazzling speed and amazing footwork. He is 21 years old and has a 6-foot-8 wingspan.
Jordan played two years of college ball at the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma and one year at the University of Missouri where he averaged 17.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 35 games last season.
The 2014 NBA Draft will be held this June 16 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Draft experts expect Clarkson to be picked in the late first round or early in the second round. (Homer D. Sayson)
