The wife of Filipino superstar, Nonito Donaire Jr., joins the clamor of various local managers, promoters and matchmakers against Michael Koncz, adviser of Manny Pacquiao.

In her Facebook and Twitter page, Rachel Donaire voiced out her opinion regarding Koncz who recently affected the cancellation of Filipino fighter, Ernie Sanchez?s fight in the United States in what could have been a good payday and career opportunity for Sanchez.

In her Facebook post dated February 15, Donaire shared a news link from Manila Standard about how Philippine managers are showing their dissatisfaction against Koncz after his most recent action. She then posted this comment.

?This has been a long time coming. Way before this I have said he needs to stop meddling with other people. When Nonito signed Top Rank in 2008, Koncz explicitly said Nonito was supposed to sign under MP first and they'd handle Top Rank. But then that would undermine all Cameron Dunkin had done to get Nonito to that point, in addition Koncz would be collecting his fee for doing nothing so Nonito signed with his manager to Top Rank. In 2011, when we had a misunderstanding with Top Rank, I had stated that Koncz was the major reason Nonito was never allowed on Pacquiao's undercard. Koncz has been known to pull fighters off cards that he personally isn't collecting money from. I've seen it with many Filipino fighters because he wants to collect from all Filipino fighters. I believe Filipinos have fought their way to get their due respect and shouldn't have to bow to the will of some foreigner thinking he is the gatekeeper to all that's boxing. It's not fair that these boxers fight for barely anything when they have worked so hard to get where they are. And I know I'll get flak for saying this but honestly, I'm sick of hearing the same story of a fighter training so hard and getting pulled off a card because of this guy. Unfortunately, until Pacquiao kicks him out and takes away his power, he will continue to push his influence to try to control RP boxers. #rantover?

Nonito Donaire Jr. in a 2011 interview with Examiner?s Dennis Guillermo admitted that Koncz kicked him out of a Pacquiao undercard. The four time world champ had always wanted to fight in the undercard of Pacquiao in the past but was prevented in participating in one by Koncz. This would have granted the fans of both boxers to see them in action together in one event.

A move is brewing among managers, promoters and match-makers in the Philippines that are looking at a petition to declare Koncz, a Canadian citizen that resides in the Philippines, as a ?persona non grata? because of what they classified as his abuse against Filipino boxers and managers.

?Persona non grata? refers to a foreign person whose entering or remaining in a particular country is prohibited by that country's government. It is the most serious form of censure which one country can apply to foreign diplomats, who are otherwise protected by diplomatic immunity from arrest and other normal kinds of prosecution.

In a follow-up interview by Philboxing.com, Mrs. Donaire showed support to the group of managers about their planned move regarding Koncz.

"I applaud the managers who are taking a stand against what they believe to be unfair. Honestly I think the managers that have had this bad experience done to their fighters and are not signing the petition because of fear of losing or straining a friendship should not be managers at all. As a manager, you must fight for the best interest of your fighter. If you are too afraid to stand up and make a difference against injustice, then you should probably not be a manager because you are failing to do what?s in the best interest of your fighter.? Mrs. Donaire stated.
