
Undefeated prospects square off in Gensan January 14

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (January 13) - One?s ?0? must go.
Two of the most promising boxers here go up against each other Tuesday evening, January 14, for a piece of the Philippine flyweight title and bragging rights.
Undefeated Michael Enriquez battles Jake Bornea over ten rounds for the Philippine Boxing Federation flyweight title and the World Boxing Federation International title.
Enriquez, a Cagayan de Oro native but is now fighting out of Sanman Boxing Stable of General Santos, sports a 7-0-1 win-loss-draw record with 4 of his victories coming by knockout.
Bornea, an amateur standout along with his twin brother Jade, is likewise undefeated in 4 professional fights with 3 of his wins coming via the short route.
Enriquez tipped the scale at 111 pounds while Bornea came in at 110-lbs. Their fight is slated for 10 rounds.
Dexter Tan and JC Manangquil, the duo behind Sanman Boxing Promotion that is offering the card as part of the Sto. Ni?o Parish patronal fiesta celebration, said the main event will be an exciting bout between the two young promising boxers.
"This will be a slam bang affair," Tan said.
Also in the boxing card supported by Mayor Ronnel Rivera and Councilor Brix Tan are Juniel Lacar (109 lbs) going up against Reynante Suacasa 111); Roskie Cristobal (136) trading mitts with Michael Manambay (136).
Others seeing action are Freddie Bisande (123) versus John Rey Llorico (123), former world title campaigner Jether Oliva squaring off against Michael Rodriguez and Ronnie Ta?allon going up against Joel Paragoso.
Amateur bouts are also lined up in the undercards.
Fight time starts at 5:30 at the Oval Plaza Gym.
Admission is free.
