CHICAGO -- After a horrid start to their season, the Brooklyn Nets have quietly won three games a row following a 102-93 triumph over the Los Angeles Clippers Thursday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Behind 25-20 after one quarter of play, the Nets turned things around with a 63-point explosion in the second and third periods to take an 83-62 advantage entering the final stanza. They then held off the Clippers, who fired 31 points the rest of the way.

Andre Blatche and Joe Johnson had 21 points apiece for Brooklyn and center Brook Lopez added 16 more plus seven boards. Point guard Deron Williams, who recently returned from a foot injury, recorded 15 markers and four dimes.

"I didn't like our movement," Clippers head coach Doc Rivers told NBA.com after his team made only 26 of 70 field goals and just 6-of-24 from 3-point range. The Clippers were held to just 15 assists and barely won the battle of the boards, 43-42..

Chris Paul led Los Angeles with 20 points and Jamal Crawford added 19. Blake Griffin struggled, shooting just 2-for-8 from the field for 12 points. (Homer D. Sayson)
