CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bulls fell to 1-2 in the young 2013-14 NBA season, but this latest setback -- a 107-104 thriller at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia Saturday night -- was a heartbreaker.

The Bulls surrendered a 20-point first half advantage and their superstar guard -- Derrick Rose -- struggled mightily, missing 10 of 14 shots, including just 1-for-3 from 3-point range.

Not only did Rose misfire, he also mishandled the ball, making eight turnovers against just six assists.

"I would blame tonight on me," Rose told NBA.com after the contest. The Bulls dropped to 1-2, the same boat as the Miami Heat, who beat the Bulls on opening night before skidding two in row.

Rookie Michael Carter-Williams led the Sixers with 26 points and 10 assists while Evan Turner turned in 20. The Sixers buried the Bulls from long distance, 11 of 22 3s while Chicago settled for 3-for-9.

Carlos Boozer paced Chicago with 22 points and 10 rebounds while Luol Deng pumped in 20 markers. But Joakim Noah only had 10 points on 4-for-11 shooting.

The Sixers are surprisingly 3-0 under new head coach Brett Brown. (HDS)
