CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bulls raced to a 62-39 first half lead and easily disposed the Milwaukee Bucks, 105-84, Monday night at the United Center.
Former MVP Derrick Rose led the stampede with 24 points and four assists, earning the 6-foot-3 point guard the most valuable player of the game honors. The Bulls remained unbeaten in preseason play, 6-0.
Starters Joakim Noah and Jimmy Butler and key reserve Kirk Hinrich did not play due to various injuries but the Bulls got 16 points and 10 rebounds from power forward Carlos Boozer to help hold the Bucks at bay. Luol Deng chipped in 15 while Mike Dunleavy Jr and Marcus Teague added 12 each for Chicago.
Former San Antonio Spurs sparkplug Gary Neal, who busted out in last June's NBA Finals, topscored for the Bucks with 14 points on 5-for-10 shooting. Brandon Knight 13 and Larry Sanders finished with 12 and four rebounds.
The Bucks, who fell to 0-4 in exhibition play, missed the services of three injured players -- Carlos Delfino, O.J. Mayo and Ersan Ilyasova. (Homer D. Sayson)
