Jack Asis.
Filipino super featherweight Jack ?The Assassin? Asis who now fights out of Toowoomba in Brisbane, Australia has scored a 3rd round TKO over Argentina?s Jose Saez at Rumours International to record his eighth win in a row at a weight at which he is comfortable.

Since he stopped accepting fights at short notice and in higher weight divisions Saez has scored a string of impressive wins prompting his manager/trainer Brendon Smith claims Asis is the ?most feared fighter in Australia and deserves a title fight.

With the comfortable win Asis improved to 29-18-4 with 15 knockouts while Saez dropped to 22-16-6 with 12 knockouts.

Smith believes the win should lead to bigger fights for the rugged Filipino beginning with a regional title fight.

Saez himself was coming off his own regional title fight, with the 37-year-old losing by points decision to Tyson Cave for the vacant North American Boxing Association super bantamweight title.

Asis won an eight round unanimous decision over tough Indonesian Rivo Rengkunbg last March 15 after scoring an eight round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Maxsaisai Sithsaithing in a shutout.

He won by a 7th round TKO over Japan?s Ryusei Yoshida on July 28, 2012 and blasted WBO world title challenger Nestor Rocha in two rounds on August 13, 2011.

The manager of Asis, who is originally from Davao, claimed that none of the top-ranked fighters in Australia were ready to face the hard-hitting Filipino.

Smith was quoted as saying "I can't blame these men, the likes of former world champion Billy Dib and current IBO world champion Will Tomlinson and other top Australian fighters in Paul Flemming, Joel Brunker and Brett Smith. I wouldn't want one of my men to fight Jack either, he is lethal and getting better and better every fight. ?

Smith said ?The only fighter and trainer at present, who is interested in making a fight with Jack is world champion trainer Billy Hussein and his champion fighter, Mohammed Elomar. But first, they have to beat Takamori Akita on June 15, then we will see if they interested again in negotiating this fight."

Smith went on to say, "With a win over Saez, it's time for me to pick up the phone and ring Golden Boy promotions who I have been aligned with for a long time and offer them the chance to become part of this fairytale story. I know Americans love fairytale stories, and if they ever want the biggest one to come out of America, Jack Asis is it."

Smith has been quoted as saying ?Asis of course, came from living on the streets as a boy in the Philippines and swiftly became a household name in his home country and looked to have a promising career, however in the middle of his career began to take the wrong fights on short notice and wrong weight for money. Asis, who made the move out to Australia, started similarly, however has turned it around with a run of 8 straight wins and a new hunger for the sport that he loves so much. ?

Smith finished by saying, "Look out world, 'The Assassin' is about to make his mark.?
