PACQUIAO SPARRING PARTNER TAPIA PUTS UNBEATEN RECORD ON THE LINE

Manny Pacquiao?s former sparring partner Glen ?Jersey Boy? Tapia puts his unbeaten record on the line when he faces another fighter with a clean slate, Abraham ?Abie? Han in a crucial ten round bout at the Texas Station Casino in Las Vegas on July 12.

A win by either fighter would likely propel him to a world ranking and even bigger fights down the road.

The 23 year old Tapia who has a record of 18-0 with 10 knockouts will be giving away several inches in height to Han who is listed at 6 feet and boasts of an equally impressive record of 19-0 with 12 knockouts.

The fights will be part of a Top Rank-ESPN fight card headlined by former world rated Filipino super bantamweight Drian Francisco (24-1-1, 19 KO?s) who will clash with WBO No. 5 and WBA No. 6 ranked Chris Avalos who has a record of 21-2 with 16 knockouts in another ten round battle.

Francisco is training under former heavyweight and one-time Pacquiao strength and conditioning coach, Justin Fortune.

Tapia is coming of a lopsided eight round shutout win over Joseph De Los Santos of the Dominican Republic at the Radio City Music Hall in New York last April 13 in a Top Rank card where Nonito ?The Filipino Flash? Donaire lost his WBO and Ring Magazine titles in a stunning upset to former Cuban two-time Olympic gold medalist Guillermo Rigondeaux.

The 28 year old Han scored an eight round unanimous decision in his last fight against Brandon Baue on March 16 this year.
