Denver Cuello and Sonny Boy Jaro of Jaro Promotions are working hard to shed the remaining extra pounds needed to meet the weight requirements of their respective fights this Sunday in Osaka, Japan.

The duo together with promoter and manager, Aljoe Jaro arrived at 7:25 pm on Thursday night in Narita via PAL flight PR 432, three days ahead of their bouts scheduled at the Bodymaker Colosseum in Osaka.

?Ayos naman po sila at handa na.Sa ngayon medyo over pa ng konti.? (They are doing well and are ready. As of now, they are a little bit over. ) said Aljoe Jaro.

Both fighters each have three more pounds to lose before they step in the official scales tomorrow, the weigh-in prior to their fight. Sonny Boy Jaro weighed 118 pounds while Cuello was at 111 pounds Friday morning in Japan according to Jaro.

Sonny Boy Jaro will be facing Hiroyuki Hisataka of Osaka, Japan at super flyweight (115 lbs.) in his comeback fight after losing his WBC Flyweight title last July while Cuello will battle another Japanese fighter, Takashi Kunishige at the 108 pound weight limit.

Cuello is being groomed for his long delayed title fight at minimum weight (105 pounds), making this bout a must win for the 26 year old slugger.

Both fighters had an early jog Friday morning and will be spending most of their day training at the Kameda Gym in Tokyo according to their manager.
