Victor ?Vikingo? Terrazas who battles former world champion Cristian Mijares for the WBC super bantamweight title relinquished by Abner Mares who declined to face the mandatory challenger, Terrazas and instead moved up to featherweight, wants to win the vacant title.

Terrazas has been training for the past three weeks in Mexico City to get used to the altitude.

The title contender visited the WBC offices on Tuesday where he talked about the great preparation he?s had for his April 20th clash with Mijares.

The WBC website quoted Terrazas who said ?I have trained here in Mexico City to get used to the climate and altitude. I?m here because I want to conquer the title.?

He said he had trained against southpaws in sparring and ?I?m feeling strong.? Regarding his weight for the 122 pound limit battle Terrazas said ?I?m doing great.?

Terrazas jogs every morning along with members of his team led by manager Omar Rivera and spars at the Pancho Rosales Gym with a trio of southpaws.

The WBC said that Mexican legend Juan Manuel Marquez assessed the skills of Terrazas and said ?he is a great future star.?

Terrazas showed his star qualities when he scored an impressive win over former world bantamweight champion Fernando ?Cochulito? Montiel to capture the vacant WBC silver title on November 19, 2011.
