VILORIA READY TO PUT ON A FINE PERFORMANCE AGAINST ESTRADA THIS SATURDAY IN MACAU

WBO/WBA flyweight champion Brian Viloria is in great shape for his title defense against aggressive Mexican Juan Francisco Estrada at the plush Venetian in Macau on Saturday in a fight card to be telecast by ABS-CBN Channel 2 on Sunday morning.

Viloria and his wife Erica are in Macau and according to manager Gary Gittelsohn who leaves Los Angeles on Monday night they are being ?treated very well and it?s a luxurious set-up.?

Gittelsohn told the Manila Standard that Viloria?s training camp ?went magnificently and he had very, very good sparring and looks very good.?

The two-division world champion told us that he?s been sparring with Zou Shiming who will make his pro debut on the same blockbuster card and Ricardo Rodriguez and that sparring ?has been going great, just perfect.?

Gittelsohn said unlike the past when he had to struggle and starve to make the light flyweight limit, Viloria ?hasn?t had to drain himself at all.?

Gittelsohn disclosed that Viloria was eating normally and his weight on Sunday was just over 115 pounds and he?d have no problems making the 112 pound limit.

Although the extremely likable manager said ?I?m keeping my fingers crossed? he expects Viloria to put on another fine performance and retain his title against Estrada whom Viloria himself has described as ?a warrior and tough like most Mexican fighters.?

However, the champion said ?I?ve done my homework and I know how to pull off a win.? Buoyed by the news that aside from ABS-CBN telecast in the Philippines and over The Filipino Channel which has a huge following in the Middle East as well as HBO, Viloria said ?I will take that moment to do my best and entertain the fans.?

Gittelsohn told us Viloria ?is doing absolutely fine? and that young Marvin Somodio ?is a wonderful young man who works very hard and is a terrific trainer? adding that celebrated Hall-of-Fame trainer Freddie Roach who is in Macau and concentrating on two-time Olympic and three-time amateur gold medalist Zou Shiming of China, ?will be lost without him.?
