Filipino featherweight Nathan Bolcio has suffered a 5th round TKO at the hands of world rated featherweight Chonlatarn Or Piriyapinyo for the vacant Pan Asia Boxing Association title in Ubonrachathani, Thailand.
Ranked No. 8 by the WBO where he is the Asia Pacific champion and No. 13 by the WBA as well as No. 2 by PABA, Chonlatarn was surprised by the aggressive start of PABA?s No. 13 ranked Bolcio who Thai boxing writers reported won at least two of the first three rounds.
However, the experienced Thai boxer who has a record of 46-1 with 29 knockouts ripped Bolcio with solid body shots that had the Filipino in trouble in the last minute of round four.
Chonlatarn put on the pressure at the start of the fifth and dropped Bolcio with a vicious combination and although the game Filipino beat the count referee Prommase Chaksuraka deemed he was not fit to continue and called a halt at 1:16 of the fifth round.
At the time of the stoppage all three judges had Chonlatarn ahead on points.
Chalerm Prayadsab had Chonlatarn ahead 39-37, Worasak Pakdeekam 39-38 and Won Kim by a surprising 40-37 shutout.
In others action in the OneSingchai Promotions fight card, WBO#3 fly Kwanpichit Onesongchaigym (21-0-1, 8 KOs) won a six round unanimous decision over Filipino Geboi Mansalayao who has a record of 8-14-4 bwith 3 knockouts and has lost his last five fights.
