
Penalosa brothers to face Thai fighters in Macau

The fighting tandem of Dodie Boy Jr. and Dave Penalosa will likely be facing fighters from Thailand as their respective opponents on April 6th in Macau, China.
According to a source with knowledge of the negotiations, Dodie Boy Jr., 23, is being eyed to face 24 year old Ngaotawan Sithsaithong (10-8-1, 5 KOs) of Bangkok, Thailand in an 8 round super bantamweight (122 pounds) bout.
The younger Dave, 22, who will also be fighting that night, is being paired against 26 year old Thai bantamweight, Cheroenchai Sithsaithong (4-3,3 KOs) in a proposed 6 round bantamweight (118 pounds) contest.
Both brothers are part of a Top Rank sponsored event at the Venetian Casino and Resort which will feature Filipino flyweight champ, Brian Viloria in the main event.
Others in the card include debuting Chinese professional boxer and former Olympic gold medal winner, Zou Shiming who just inked with Top Rank and unbeaten Filipino flyweight, Milan Melindo.
Dodie Boy Jr. is coming off a spectacular 2nd round knockout win against Mexican, Jesus Lule in the undercard of Manny Pacquiao ? Juan Manuel Marquez IV in Las Vegas last December. He boasts of a young 10-o record, with all of his wins coming by knockout.
Dave is also unbeaten in 5 outings, with 3 of them coming by knockouts. His last win was also by knockout in the 4th of Thai fighter, Yodpichai Sithsaithong in Mandaluyong City, Philippines last August 8th.
The Penalosa brothers are currently in the middle of training at the Cebu City Sports Complex Boxing Gym in Cebu under the watchful eyes of their father and Filipino boxing legend, Dodie Boy Sr. and Uncle Carmelo Penalosa who is serving as their trainers.
Both brothers are excited to be a part of the big boxing card in the booming tourist and gambling capital in Asia.
