WBO/WBA flyweight champion and two division world champion Brian Viloria begins sparring at the Wild Card Gym of Freddie Roach in Los Angeles, tomorrow (Wednesday, Manila Time.)

Viloria told the Manila Standard that his first sparring session will be with two-time Olympic gold medalist Zou Shiming who turned pro and was signed up by Top Rank and is training under Roach.

Viloria who met Shiming at the gym today (Tuesday, Manila Time) said the Chinese Olympian ?looks good? but still needs to hone his skills as a professional and has ?a lot of catching up to do as he still has an amateur style.?

However, both Roach and Top Rank?s Hall-of-Fame matchmaker Bruce Trampler both think very highly of Zou Shiming.

Meantime, Viloria who will defend his world titles against Mexico?s Juan Francisco Estrada in Macau on April 6 said he hopes to be in Macao ten days before the fight and may make a side-trip to Manila to accept his award as one of four champions named ?Boxers of the Year? at the Annual Gabriel ?Flash? Elorde Awards and Banquet of Champions.

Viloria who said he expects a tough fight against Estrada told us ?training is going perfect.?

He said he is ?feeling good with one and a half months to go. It will be crunch time soon.?

The world champion described the Macau event as a ?great card? and said he is looking forward to being in Macau to defend his belts.

On a possible quick trip to Manila for the March 25 Elorde awards banquet, Viloria said ?its close to the fight and I will have to do a lot of traveling. We?ll see about being in Manila.?
