Talented Pan Asia Boxing Association light flyweight champion Randy Petalcorin and undefeated lightweight Harmonito Dela Torre face two badly over-matched opponents in Iligan City this Saturday.
The 18 year old Petalcorin who has a record of 18-1 with 13 knockouts takes on Jovel Romasasa who is a 23 year old southpaw who has lost his last six fights and has 9-7 record with 4 knockouts.
DeLa Torre who is undefeated with a record of 5-0 with 3 knockouts is a hard-hitting lightweight who clashes with Elmer Colve who has a miserable record of 5-21-2 and has lost 15 of his last 16 fights with one draw.
Australian promoter Peter Maniatis told the Manila Standard that they have been desperately trying to get a title fight against the PABA interim champion and WBA No.4 world-ranked Wisanu Kokietgym of Thailand but said the Thais are not willing to accept the challenge even if Petalcorin is willing to face Wisanu in Thailand.
DeLa Torre sparred with featherweight Michael Farenas who battles Yuriorkis Gamboa on the Pacquiao-Marquez IV undercard on Sunday, Manila Time, and according to Maniatis was "very impressive."
The award-winning Aussie promoter said "De la Torre has good footwork speed and power and getting better every bout at 18 years of age he has been improving every fight under the training of Sanman Gym in General Santos City and looks to have a bright future and looking forward to a big 2013 year with Della Torre."
