Omar Andres Narvaez of Argentina knocked out Mexico's Johnny Garcia in the 11th round of a fight in Buenos Aires to retain his WBO super-flyweight title.

Narvaez dropped Garcia in the 7th round and dropped the challenger three times in the 11th round to make the fifth successful defense of his super flyweight title.

With the win Narvaez improved to 37-1-2, including 20 knockouts while Garcia who was also deducted a point for a low blow fell to 16-4-1 with 8 knockouts.

Narvaez is the same fighter who challenged then bantamweight champion Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire and lost by a shutout over twelve rounds at New York's famed Madison Square Garden in New York on October 22, 2011.

After Donaire hurt Narvaez early in the fight the two-division world champion went into a totally defensive mode, refused to engage Donaire and appeared determined to survive the fight and was booed by the fans .
