Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao who is once again determined to make our collective national spirit soar by beating legendary Mexican Erik "The Terrible One" Morales when they clash in a Grand Finale rubber match on Sunday, Manila Time, was elated over the victory of Ronnie Alcano in the 2006 Philippines World Pool Championships Sunday.

Pacquiao was informed about Alcano?s big win by Filipino trainer Buboy Fernandez after his regular morning jog and said he was very happy.

Pacquiao, wife Jinkee and some of Pacquiao?s close friends were talking about the sensational performance of Alcano over dinner in Pacquiao?s plush apartment in Los Angeles.

Pacquiao said he never doubted Alcano?s talents and capabilities and that the lanky native of Calamba, Laguna was truly a fearless pool player who could beat anyone when he brings his A game to the pool table. "Kapag kundisyon si Alcano, kahit sino and iharap mo" said Pacquiao, talking to his good friend and restaurant owner Demi Dizon who arrived in Los Angeles from Manila to be a special ringside for the Pacquiao-Morales showdown in Las Vegas.
