World Boxing Council Silver Minimum Weight Titlist and highly ranked challenger Denver ?The Excitement? Cuello is settled and ready in the site of his upcoming fight this Saturday in Mexico.
The 25 year old native of Cabatuan, Iloilo is getting ready for the pre-fight press conference when he briefly chatted with Philboxing.com yesterday.
Cuello arrived in Morelia, Michoacan de Ocampo, Mexico last Monday, a week ahead of his 10 round bout against Ivan ?Pollito? Meneses of Puebla,Puebla Mexico.
The Filipino informed this Philboxing.com writer that he is on target with his weight two full days before his fight. ?110 na 108 naman ang labanan ko.? (I am 110 pounds; we will fight at 108 pounds.)
He expressed readiness for Meneses whom he saw for the first time during the press conference yesterday. Cuello has been training since August in the Philippines because he was originally slated to fight in the Saul Alvarez-Josesito Lopez undercard in Las Vegas last September 15th. But, that deal did not go through for him and he will instead fight this Saturday at the Auditorio del Bicentenario in Morelia.
?Okay naman po, kasi matagal din ang paghahanda ko kase dapat 15 pa ang laban ko e bigla nalipat. Kaya mahaba ang ensayo ko ngayon.? (Training is okay. I have been preparing for a long time because I was supposed to fight on the 15th but it was moved. ) Cuello said.
Cuello stated that he if he sees an opportunity to end the fight early, he will not hesitate in doing so.
?Siguro pag tinamaan ko agad tapusin ko ang laban pag tinamaan ko ng maganda.? (If I hit him early, I will end the fight right away.)
He maintains that he is well conditioned and prepared for this fight. He also expressed that he feels fine after that long trip to Mexico and is experiencing no effects of that long travel.
?Hindi naman po, (on question if he is tired from the trip) parang Pilipinas lang din ang pakiramdam ko.?
(Not really, I feel just like the way I feel in the Philippines.)
Fans should expect another exciting fight from Denver ?The Excitement? Cuello this Saturday.
