MASSIVE CROWD GREETS PACQUIAO AND MARQUEZ IN MEXICO

A massive crowd of more than 10,000 fans in boxing crazy Mexico waited for several hours in the spanking new Mexico City Arena for the final stop on the three-city caravan leading up to the fourth battle between ?Fighter of the Decade? Manny Pacaquio and the troublesome Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez set for the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on December 8.

Marquez, as always, kept reiterating his claim that he had won their previous three fights and was robbed of the decision by the judges, ignoring the fact that Pacquiao dropped him three times in the opening round of their first fight and once in the second and that an admitted mistake by judge Burt Clements in the first encounter cost Pacquiao the victory.

Most boxing aficionados have conceded that Marquez may have a valid point that he deserved to win the third fight which Pacquiao claimed by a split decision.

Marquez told the huge crowd ?Thank you Manny Pacquiao for accepting the fourth fight, because they stole the last one from me in November,? before he added ?It?s an honor to fight Pacquiao. I want to prove who is the best. I have done so on three occasions and here comes the fourth."

Marquez added I?m going to prepare very well. This is a new challenge for me, I will go very well prepared, it?s a strong and difficult challenge, but we are going to celebrate Christmas and New Year.?

Pacquiao was his usual calm and dignified self merely stating ?I?m happy to fight him for the fourth time. I have to recognize how difficult he is as a fighter, a great warrior, and I?m really happy to come to Mexico City? to Filipinos in Mexico, thank you very much for being here. I didn?t intend to fight another Mexican fighter, but that?s the way things are.?

Pacquiao is scheduled to arrive home on Sunday before returning to Los Angeles to begin training at the Wild Card gym of Freddie Roach.
