The super middleweight battle between Robert Stieglitz and Arthur Abraham at the 02 Arena in Berlin, Germany on Sunday will be telecast on ?Big Time Bakbakan? at 12:00 on Sunday over AKTV IBC 13.
The 31year old WBO champion Stieglitz who stands 2 inches taller than his opponent at 5?11? has a record of 42-2 with 23 knockouts while the 32 year old Abraham who stands 5?9? has a record of 34-3 with 27 knockouts.
At the final pre-fight press conference Stieglitz said ?I feel great and I am going to defend my title. My preparations have been going extremely well.?
Abraham, for his part said ?We dont talk a lot beforehand. Actions speak louder than words and I am going to answer all questions inside the ring.? Promoter Kalle Sauerland predicted ?its going to be a real war inside the ring.?
Titled ?The Last Chance? the fight puts Abraham in a must-win situation which he ackmowledged pointing out ?From this point onwards every fight is going to be a last chance for me. But I will grab it with both hands. No matter if the fight goes the distance or not, I will prove a point on Saturday (Sunday in Manila).?
But Stieglitz trainer Dirk Demski thinks differently. He said ?We are going to keep the belth. We detected a lot of weaknesses while watching Abraham and we will take full advantage of them.?
Abraham?s trainer Ulli Wegner insisted tricks are not necessary in this title fight. ?Who needs tricks? We are going to wipe the floor with them and that?s the end of the story? he added.
Abraham won the WBO European title with a twelve round unanimous decision over Piotr Wilczewski of Poland last March 31 but had previously dropped decisions to Carl Froch in a WBC title showdown and Andre Ward in a WBA title fight.
Stieglitz won the title with an 11th round TKO over Karoly Balzsat, the Hungarian southpaw on August 22, 2009 and has six successful title defenses since then and is coming off a twelve round unanimous decision over Australia?s Nader ?Lionheart? Hamdan last May 5.
