Don?t make your plans for November 10th just yet. Reliable sources have informed Philboxing.com through this writer that Manny Pacquiao?s reported next fight on November 10, 2012 might be moved to a different date.
Numerous sources close to the Pacquiao camp has communicated to this writer that the Filipino superstar?s next bout is going to be moved to the month of December.
?December 1st to be exact!? said a very reliable source.
No reasons were given for the change of dates or the opponent that Pacquiao will be facing in the ring or his choice of opponent. Pacquiao himself has been mum about his next opponent said another source close to the boxer-congressman.
Top Rank Promotions last week requested a November 10th date at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas to stage the next Pacquiao bout against an unnamed opponent or TBA (To Be Announced.)
Top Rank?s head Bob Arum has offered Pacquiao three names to choose on as his next foe. This includes a rematch with American Timothy Bradley, who beat Pacquiao for his WBO welterweight title by the way of a very controversial Split Decision last June 9th. A fourth fight with Mexican nemesis Juan Manuel Marquez, whose last three fights with Pacquiao have constantly been close. And a rematch with a re-born Miguel Cotto who recently put up a valiant effort against Floyd Mayweather last May 5th.
Arum personally flew to the Philippines earlier this month to discuss matters regarding Pacquiao?s next fight this year. Arum was reportedly looking to announce the multi city press tour and a name in hand as early as last week. Top Rank is reportedly eyeing the Labor Day week as the week for the said tour. But no feelers have been sent to the boxing- covering- media yet as of press time with less than two weeks before the planned media blitz.
The change of dates might possibly be the reason why.
