Welterweight prospect Terrell Williams, on Saturday night, cruised to his 6th straight victory with an impressive first round stoppage of veteran trial horse, Jeremiah Torres in the main event of "Live Fight" presentation of All Star Boxing at the Westin Bonaventure on South Figueroa Street in downtown Los Angeles. At the sound of the opening bell, Terrell Williams immediately tore at Jeremiah Torres, pounding him with powerful straights and unrelenting combinations from up and under, and finally decking him for a mandatory eight count. It was just a short respite however for Jeremiah Torres, who stood up on shaky legs, and was bombarded non-stop, forcing Referee Danny Sandoval to halt the contest at one minute and forty seconds of the round for a TKO victory for Terrell Williams, now, 6-0, 5KOs.
In other supporting bouts, Fa' Amanu Pritchard battled Danny Garcia to a split draw, with scores of 39-37, 37-39, and 38-38 in a very entertaining and highly competitive Cruiserweight encounter.
In a Lightweight contest, Oscar Santana outworked Osman Rivera with his speed and volume punching to carve a unanimous decision over four rounds. Judges' scores were 39-37 and 40-36 twice.
Junior Welterweight upstart, Peter Haro scored the evening's biggest upset with a unanimous decision over Russian Alex Pedrezov with scores of 40-36 twice and 39-37. The teenage Russian Alex Pedrezov, who was coming into the fight on a 4 win skein, was doing well, fighting from a distance, scoring with straights and counter-punching effectively. His woes started when he began to mix in close quarters and wilted under the heavier punches of his opponent. He never made any adjustment and his corner simply had no plan B for him, and Alex Pedrezov continued to play directly to Peter Haro's brawling game until the end with dire consequence.
In a Junior Middleweight bout, Louis Rose defeated Elliot Seymour by unanimous decision, 40-36 by all three judges, and improved his record to 4-0. And, in the lone female bout, Flyweight Maria Suarez won by majority decision over Adrienne Alegria, 40-36, 39-37, and 38-38.
The bouts were sanctioned by the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) headed in the evening's card by Lead Inspector and Event Supervisor, Anthony Olivas.
