Team España rules 2025 DC Athletics Open

TEAM España ruled the two-day 2025 Davao City Athletics Open held August 9-10 at the University of Mindanao Matina Campus in Ma-a, Davao City.

España hauled eight gold medals and two bronzes to win the over-all men’s open.

Spectrum Runners was second with 4-6-4 golds-silvers-bronzes while third was Go for Gold [1-3-1].

Kharis Lark Reil Pantonial [200m & 400m], Oyam Kerl Espinosa [800m & 1500m] and Carlo Cong [shot put & discus throw] each gave two golds for España.

Pantonial and his teammates also won the gold in 4x100m and 4x400m relay.

España also settled for the bronze courtesy John Celestino Romero [49:49] behind silver John Lloyd Caballo [48:2] of Go for Gold in 400m.

España also topped the 18 under boys and girls with 7-2-0 and 4-0-0, respectively.

Meanwhile, Spectrum dominated the women’s open with five golds and two silvers.

The gold medalists for Spectrum were Lheslie Delima [400m & 800m] and Asia Paraase [1500m & 3000m].

Paraase and her teammates also won the 4x400m mixed relay.


UM Davao finished at close second with four golds, five silvers and three bronzes.

Third was Bukid Sprinters courtesy of Micailla Jane Requirme [long jump & triple jump].
