Tough Mexican light welterweight Rosbel Montoya predicts he will knock out young Jason Pagara when they clash in a much-awaited rematch on the tremendously successful ?Pinoy Pride XV? at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino on August 18.

The fight card will be telecast by the giant broadcast network ABS-CBN over Channel 2.

The first time they met Montoya won a unanimous ten round decision in a WBO Asia Pacific Youth title fight but didn?t win the title because he failed to make the weight, coming in one pound over the stipulated weight limit.

This time around the 27 year old Mexican emphasized he won?t make any mistakes and will take home the WBO International light welterweight title which will be on the line on August 18.

Montoya took issue with his boxrec.com record of 16-3-1 with 13 knockouts insisting that ?many fights were not put on boxrec.com because many of my fights were in my hometown or nearby.? He said his real fight record is 36-4-1 with 30 knockouts.

While thanking ALA Promotions which presents the ?Pinoy Pride? series in cooperation with ABS-CBN, Montoya praised the Filipino judges in his last fight saying ?they were very good and honest and gave me a clear victory.?

The judges were Salven Lagumbay, Edgar Olalo and Edwin Barrientos.

While emphasizing that it will be the same again in terms of victory, Montoya indicated he plans to take the decision out of the hands of the judges and ?will win by knockout.?

In their first meeting Montoya said he ?figured out Pagara?s style and stayed with his fight plan? although he admitted that Pagara was ?one of the toughest fighters I ever fought.?

He expects the rematch to be ?harder because Pagara doesn?t want to lose in his hometown for the second time. I know he will train harder and be ready. That is why I am training hard for this fight. I have two brothers who are also boxers and we are always training, My father was in my corner for the first fight and he will be there again.?

Montoya added in his interview with ALA Promotions ?I have more power now and I will win by knockout.?
