Fight fans and boxing media around the world join hands in wishing the classy WBC super bantamweight champion Toshiaki Nishioka of Japan a very happy birthday and a great future in an outside the ring.
Nishioka was at ringside when WBO champion Nonito "The Filipino Flash" added the IBF title to his trophy room with a comfortable twelve round points decision over South Africa's Jeffrey Mathebula, knocking him down in the 4th round with a patented left hook and breaking his jaw.
Mathebula needed surgery to implant two plates in his jaw last Friday and will be out for a few months.
Nishioka told the Manila Standard after the fight that he would like to fight Donaire and "The Filipino Flash" agreed but needs to take care of business first against Jorge "Travieso" Arce this October.
Donaire and his wife Rachel are currently in Japan on a three-day visit and will return to Manila on Friday after which Donaire wioll begin shooting a Visayan movie somewhere in Laguna.
