In what has developed into a pattern, three more Filipino fighters have been beaten by much superior Thai opponents in a fight card in Chantaburi, Thailand.

Undefeated 21 year old southpaw Jeffrey Arienza, a super featherweight nicknamed ?Happy Feet? moved up ten pounds to face IBF Pan Pacific light welterweight prospect Patomsuk Pathompotong and was forced to retire at the end of the 7th round.

In a co-feature Randy ?Gorilla? Megrino lost by a 3rd round TKO to Thai featherweight Vacharakrit Senahan while former Thai Olympian Amnat Ruenroeng continued his winning streak since turning pro with a comfortable win over veteran Louie Bantigue in a super flyweight over six rounds.

The 28 year old Pathompothong improved his record to 19-1-1 with 12 knockouts with the win over Arieza who suffered his first loss to drop to 8-1-1 with 4 knockouts.

The Thai champion was the aggressor from the opening bell and had Arienza backing off before the Filipino came back strongly to take the sixth round. But the comeback was short-lived as Pathompotong connected with solid shots to the body and head and hurt Arienza whose handlers quit claiming the Filipino was in no position to continue.

It appeared to many that the weight difference helped the hard-punching Thai dispose of his Filipino opponent.

Senahan who had an impressive record of 24-4-1` with 12 knockouts made short work of Megrino who had a record of 12-11-2 with 7 knockouts and couldn?t match the skill or the power of the Thai fighter.

2008 Beijing Olympian Ruenroeng, one of the leading amateur boxers in Thailand, continue his winning ways since turning pro by overcoming veteran Bantigue to improve his pro record to 3-0 with 1 knockouts while Bantigue fell to 21-20-7 with 12 knockouts.
