
4TH YALIN WOMEN?S WORLD 10-BALL CHAMPIONSHIPS TO BE HELD IN MANILA

The 2012 Yalin Women?s World 10-Ball Championships will see the fourth staging of the prestigious tournament by Dragon Promotions at Robinson?s Galeria in the plush Ortigas business district in Pasig from August 20 to 24.
Dragon Promotions top executive Charlie Williams, himself an outstanding pool player informed the Manila Standard that Stage 1 Qualifiers will be held at Star Billiards Manila on August 18th & 19th.
He said 48 world class pros and international women superstars will attend the event to battle for the top prize which was won, in its inaugural presentation by diminutive Filipina Rubilen Amit.
Players from around the world including the reigning World Champion Kelly Fisher of the United Kingdom will be in Manila with Fischer determined to defend her title against challengers from the Netherlands, China, Germany, Japan, Belgium, Korea, Australia, Taiwan, France, Philippines, the United States and many more.
Six time US Open 9-Ball champion Allison Fischer said "10-Ball is the hardest and most skillful game for pool. Winning the Yalin World Championship is definitely in favor of the better professional players."
Williams said ? I personally really look forward to this event every year. The atmosphere is electric and the pressure is incredible on these fine ladies. They fight tooth and nail from the round robin stage until the single elimination rounds. I am even skipping a major men's USA event at the same time just to watch this!. "
