
TWO PACQUIAO SPARRING PARTNERS SEE ACTION SATURDAY

Two sparring partners of ?Fighter of the Decade? Manny Pacquiao see action at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on the eve of Pacquiao?s WBO welterweight title defense against Timothy ?Desert Storm? Bradley at the MGM Grand Garden Area on Sunday, Manila Time.
Former sparring partner David Rodela, the 29 year old light welterweight with a record of 16-5-3 with 7 knockouts takes on undefeated 24 year old Terence Crawford of Omaha who has a record of 16-0 with 12 knockouts.
34 year old Roger ?Speedy? Gonzalez who was in Pacquiao?s training camp at the Wild Card Gym and has a record of 27-5 with 18 knockouts will figure in a super featherweight clash with 30 year old Gerardo Robles of Kansas City who has a record of 15-10 with 7 knockouts.
Rodela is coming off a 2nd round knockout of Baudel Cardenas in a scheduled six round bout last February 12 in which he dropped Cardenas twice in round one with solid body shots.
Prior to that Rodela lost by a 5th round knockout in a scheduled ten round bout to undefeated Luis Ramos (19-0, 8 KO?s).
Crawford had an outstanding amateur career winning the gold medal in the US Blue and Gold Tournament at 132 pounds beating Danny Garcia who faces Amir Khan for the world junior welterweight title on July 14.
He also won the gold medal in the National Police Athletic League Championships in 2006 in the 60 kg division beating Diego Magdaleno.
Gonzalez has lost his last four bouts including 10th round TKO?s to Yuriorkis Gamboa on January 9, 2009 and Cornelius Lock on June 18, 2008. He also dropped a unanimous eight round decision to Ronny Rios on September 30, 2011 and to undefeated Eloy Perez on February 18, 2011.
Robles is coming off a 3rd round TKO over unheralded Steve Minks in a scheduled six round bout on November 26, 2011 after dropping an eight round decision to undefeated Rances Bartelemy (12-0, 10 KO?s) on July 29, 2011.
