Part II of the Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley TV special will be telecast on Viva Sports ?The Main Event? on AKTV IBC 13 this Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
Part I drew positive reviews from boxing fans including former PBA superstar Allan Caidic and top flight television director Dong Capinpuyan as well as several other sports personalities and boxing fans.
To most, the highlight of Part I were the emotional and sincere comments made by longtime friend and Filipino trainer Restituto ?Buboy? Fernandez in an interview for the show done at the MP Towers after a workout with Pacquiao.
In a flashback in Part II fight fans will see the old, rundown L&M Gym where Pacquiao does the punch-mitts with a bare-bodied Fernandez.
Highlights of Pacquiao?s roadwork and training at the Shape Up Gym in Baguio City are part of the second episode which also includes footage of Pacquiao sparring with Rustam Nugaev and ripping into the heavy bag.
Also in the spotlight are the instances of undefeated junior welterweight champion Tmothy ?Desert Storm? Bradley?s tendency to use his head especially in the in-fighting.
Video of southpaw Devon Alexander?s trainer Kevin Cunningham shouting at referee Frank Garza for not watching for Bradley?s head-butts and slo-motion replays of the action are highlighted on the show.
Insightful interviews with celebrated trainer Freddie Roach and Pacquiao adviser Michael Koncz by special correspondent Jannelle So of Kababayan LA 18 plus Bradley?s statement that he plans to give Pacquiao hell in the ring and trainer Joel Diaz? statement that they come to fight not to make friends have a prominent place in the special.
Highlights of Bradley?s fights with Alexander and another southpaw Joel Casamayor and Pacquiao?s last two fights against Shane Mosley and Juan Manuel Marquez are also spotlighted in Part II.
Two division world champion Gerry Penalosa also gives his thoughts on the June 9 showdown while Pacquiao?s charming wife Jinkee bares her thoughts in an intimate conversation with So.
Jannelle also talks to Fr. Marlon Beof on the tradition of hearing mass and blessing Pacquiao?s shorts, gloves and belts which has become a familiar routine whenever Pacquiao fights.
Interviews with Pacquiao himself and Roach who assess their training camp in the Philippines and a heads-to-head comparison between Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao against common opponents like Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto provide a fitting ending to the Special.
