Ganigan Lopez.
A few hours before entering the ring at the Antiguo Palangque de Fria in Celaya, Mexico, Ganigan Lopez vowed to beat Silver champion Denver Cuello in a straw-weight title eliminator today.
Lopez said he has a double motivation to win the fight according to the World Boxing Council.
The top ranked fighter said he will first fight for the chance to fight champion Kazuto Ioka of Japan for the WBC world title and also because he can win the WBC Silver belt.
Lopez said ?I?m confident in winning. This is a great shot, I can?t waste it. I will face the No. 2 fighter in the straw-weight division in my country and nobody is going to take my title away. I want to fight for the world title so I will perform a great fight.
He said ?I?ve seen Cuello fight. He?s strong, he always attacks and he?s ready to counter-attack. But fighting in Mexico is a great handicap.?
