Arden Diale.
Arden ?The Spoiler? Diale battles Hernan ?Tyson? Marquez for the WBA flyweight title in Sonora, Mexico on June 23.

The 23 year old Diale has a record 18-6-3 with 5 knockouts while Maraquez who is the same age has a record of 33-2 with 25 knockouts.

Diale won the Philippine title with a 7th round TKO over Mhar Jhun Macahilig last April 14. However, he lost by a 4th round TKO to then WBO flyweight champion Julio Cesar ?Pingo? Miranda on February 26, 2011.

Marquez won a ten round unanimous decision over last minute substitute Richie Mepranum to avenge a previous loss to the Filipino after former world light flyweight champion Rodel Mayol backed out over allegations that Marquez was two pounds overweight at the official weigh in.

MP Promotions and Manny Pacquiao adviser Michael Koncz told the Standard last Sunday that he would meet with Zanfer Promotions Fernando Beltran who handles Marquez to discuss a possible Mayol fight following Mayol's impressive ten round unanimous decision win over Miranda whom he dropped three times in the fight. However, it appears that Marquez is also looking for a tune up fight and picked Diale.

?Tyson? Marquez won the title with an 11th round TKO over Luis Concepcion of Panama on April 2, 2011 and won by a 1st round TKO in a rematch on October 29, 2011.

Diale?s manager and chairman of the Philippine Boxing Federation Dante Almario told the Manila Standard that his fighter is in shape and that he plans to take him up to Baguio City next week ?for more preparation over the next three weeks.?

He said Diale has been sparring with the rugged super bantamweight Danilo Pena whom he plans to also take to the summer capital where he hopes to get more southpaw sparring partners from the Shape Up Gym and the stable of Brico Santig.

Almario claimed that his fighter has a chance of winning the title because Marquez ?although he hits hard is slow and is the kind of opponent Diale likes.?

He said Diale has been training for over a month since he was supposed to fight for the Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation title but he skipped that fight in order to grab a chance to fight for the world title.
