DAVAO City -- City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte said that he
is honored on being picked as the No. 1 mayor in the
country by Filipino boxing superstar Manny "Pacman"
Pacquiao.

"I'm honored because the compliment comes from a great
Filipino," said Duterte, who earlier predicted
Pacquiao will win against Mexican challenger Oscar
Larios.

Pacquiao, who also has a house in Davao, recently
picked Duterte as the No. 1 mayor followed by Mayors
Lito Atienza and Tomas Osme?a of Manila and Cebu,
respectively.

?Idol ko talaga siya (Duterte) kasi matapang siya at
magaling talaga na leader,? said the 27-year old
Pacquiao.

?A good mayor must be honest, kind, helpful and not
corrupt,? Pacquiao said.

Pacquiao, who is rumored to running for mayor in
Sarangani Province next elections, is now reported to
be enticed by politicians to run for vice-mayor in
Manila in the next elections.

Pacquiao is reportedly being eyed as the running mate
of Ali Atienza, son of incumbent mayor Lito Atienza.
