Filipino sports fans have a chance to savor a spectacular sporting Sunday today with a roster of terrific fights and of course the enthralling Game 7 of the PBA Championships between BMeg Llamados and Tlak N? Text at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The day begins at 10:00 am. when Solar Sports telecasts the Floyd Mayweather Jr ? Miguel Cotto WBA light middleweight title fight on ABC 5.
The explosive fight card also includes an intriguing match-up between WBC light middleweight champion Saul ?Canelo? Alvarez and veteran ? Sugar? Shane Mosley, undefeated Jessie Vargas vs veteran Steve Forbes and Deandre ?The Bull? Latimore in a light middleweight clash with Puerto Rican southpaw Carlos Quintana.
For those who may miss the fights or wish to see them again, a replay is scheduled at 9:00 p.m. over Active Television AKTV on IBC 13.
The replay will come right after the sudden death showdown in the PBA best-of-seven championship series where over 20,000 fans watched Talk N? Text come back from a fifth game rout to win Game 6 handsomely and force a winner-take-all Game 7 against the popular BMeg Llamados.
The fights at the fabulous Marina Bay Sands Resort in Singapore late Saturday will be telecast on ?Big Time Bakbakan? at 12:00 noon on AKTV IBC 13 THE Philippines Lorenzo ?Thunderbolt? Villanueva battling Indonesia?s Daud Cino Yordan for the vacant IBO featherweight title and WBA Super World featherweight champion Chris John defending his title for the 16th time against Japan?s Shoji Kimura.
Before ?Big Time Bakbakan? Viva Sports will present a pre-fight special on next Sunday?s ?Island Assault III? fight card headlined by WBO flyweight champion Brian Viloria?s title defense against troublesome Omar Nino Romero whom he faces for the third time and former WBC light flyweight champion Rodel Mayol battling former WBO champion Julio Cesar ?Pingo? Miranda.
The show will include exclusive interviews with Viloria and Mayol and exciting training and fight footage of the two Filipino boxers.
