World Boxing Council president Don Jose Sulaiman has asked WBC Governor Edward Thangarajah who is stationed in Thailand to send him a DVD of the WBC light flyweight title fight in which Thai champion Kompayak Porpramook was awarded a hugely controversial 5th round technical decision over No. 6 ranked Jonathan Taconing on Thursday.

Sulaiman said he would have the WBC Review Committee study the fight tape and had asked Thangarajah to send him the tape immediately.

Taconing?s manager Johnny Elorde earlier wrote to the WBC president stating that they were ?disappointed in the way the fight ended. We feel that the fight should not have been stopped as the cut on Kompayak was too small.?

Elorde noted that the Thai ring doctor ?was atop the ring even if the fight was still going on? and that referee Kim ?should not have come in and stopped the barrage of punches that Taconing was giving Kompayak in the 5th round. Kompayak could have gone down in this round if referee Kim did not stop it.?

Elorde said ?The stories on the internet of the result of the fight will speak for itself. We feel that Taconing had a big chance of winning had the fight continued.?

Stating that he believed and respected ?the integrity and fairness of the WBC, Elorde requested the WBC to order an immediate rematch.?
