There is confusion over the report that rugged Arden Diale is scheduled to fight WBA flyweight champion Hernan ?Tyson? Marquez on July 14 place at the Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, Texas on the undercard of WBO junior welterweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez? title defense against a still unnamed opponent.

Boxingscene.com said Zanfer Promotions headed by Fernando Beltran who works closely with Top Rank?s Bob Arum announced the ?Tyson? Marquez-Diale title fight.

However, in a strange twist the Filipino boxer?s manager Dante Almario told the Manila Standard ?I don?t know who made this deal? and international matchmaker/promoter Sampson Lewkowicz who signed up Diale two years ago apparently knows nothing about the title fight.

Filipino promoter Sammy Gello-ani who is a partner of Lewkowicz told us that he had contacted the international matchmaker/promoter and made it clear that nobody other than Leokowicz or Sean Gibbons have the right to deal on behalf of Diale. Gello-ani said he is hoping to hear from Gibbons.

The 23 year old Marquez has a record of 33-2 with 25 knockouts and is coming off a ten round unanimous decision over last minute substitute Richie Mepranum after challenger and former champion Rodel Mayol pulled out of the title fight with Marquez when the champion was two pounds overweight but officials claimed he had made the weight when he stepped on the scales a couple of minutes later without even trying to reduce weight.

MP Promotions Michael Koncz, the adviser of pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao who was at the weigh in, supported Mayol?s decision not to fight but claimed that if Beltran was at the weigh-in, such a controversy would not have happened. Mayol meantime has been promised a fight soon by Koncz and is currently training alongside pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao in Baguio City.

Marquez won the title with an 11th round TKO of Luis Concepcion of Panama on April 2, 2011 and retained his belt in a rematch against Concepcion by a 1st round TKO on October 29, 2011.

Diale is 23 years old and is nicknamed ?The Spoiler.? He won the Philippine flyweight title with a 7th round TKO over Mhar Jhun Macahalig last April 14 after winning the vacant IBF Pan Pacific Youth title with a unanimous nten round decision over Lolito Sonsona on December 11, 2011.

Almario told us that Diale ?is prepared and in fact trained on Friday? and he indicated that if the fight pushes through he would not allow the Marquez camp to cheat over the champion?s weight.

Diale?s manager claimed that even when he fought Julio Cesar ?Pingo? Miranda when Miranda was the WBO flyweight champion, Miranda was overweight but they were made to fight by the Mexicans and Diale lost by a 4th round TKO on February 26, 2011.
