Usain Bolt.
Even as Olympic sprinter and triple gold medalist Usain Bolt says that if he is able to duplicate his performances in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China in London, it would make him ?Living Legend.?

Bolt made the statement on the BBC Sport program ?100 Days To Go? last Wednesday.

The sensational Jamaican sprinter said he wants to ?amaze? the world by running the 100 meters in 9.4 seconds and the 200 meters in 19 seconds flat.

British Ambassador Stephen Lillie hosted an enjoyable 100 meter run among invited guests at the Manila Polo Club to celebrate the 100 day milestone and although there was no starting gun or an official timer, it was a fun event with the winner breasting the finish line in a clocking far removed from Bolt?s times in the last Olympics.

The winner was Deputy Ambassador Trevor Lewis with the Second Secretary for Bilateral and Strategioc Communications Colin Glen finishing second and British Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Alison Doig-Henderson winding up in third place.

Other distinguished guests who participated in the 100 meter run were Jaguar Philippines Chairman Wellington Soong and BCCP Chairman Keith Perrin as well as members of the UK embassy staff.

In his remarks Ambassador Lillie said ?The UK and London in particular has been on a maratghon journey since winning the 2012 bid seven years ago in Singapore We are now on the very last lap and the finishing line is clearly in sight.?

Lillie said London will ?showcase great sport, great cultire, great business and deliver a great legacy for Britain. We are fantastically proud of our achievements so far. All of the venues have been completed on time and on budget! London 2012 is an investment in our country that is already bringing significant economic benefits that would otherwise would not have been possible.?

The Ambassador added ?We want Filipinos to share the same excitement. Hwere in Manila your athletes such as boxer Mark Anthony Barriga, Paralympian power lifters Adeline Dumapong-Ancheta and Achele Guin, table tennis player Josephine Medina are completing their preparations in readiness for that final moment when four years or more of training comes to fruition and they reach for Olympic gold. Side by side with our own athletes, we will be cheering bthem on and willing them to succeed.?
