In what may well be regarded as his concern over the manner in which his Manny Pacquiao Foundation has been run and in view of lawsuits filed against the foundation, Pacquiao has decided to undertake a major revamp.

Pacquiao?s adviser Michael Koncz informed the Manila Standard that Pacquiao had decided to effectively strengthen the board of directors by bringing in Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, Las Vegas hotel, real estate and casino magnate Steve Wynn, Manny?s top-notch lawyer David Marroso, a representative of his accounting firm based in Los Angeles and a group of doctors from the Cleveland Medical Center.

The revamp of the MP Foundation board of directors comes at a time that a lawsuit filed against the foundation for its refusal to pay shipping costs for a container of used clothes which were brought in as donations for flood victims in the Philippines in 2009 and for which customs duties were being charged.

The story which re-surfaced on the TMZ internet site said the logistics company implied that the MP Foundation was using the confiscation of the shipment by Philippine authorities as an excuse not to pay the shipping and other charges amounting to $35,805.36 including interest.

The declaration of the shipment as ?relief goods? instead of ?used clothing? was considered a violation of Philippine laws.
