Undefeated super featherweight Diego Magdaleno has scored a rousing 7th round TKO victory over late substitute Fernando Beltran Jr at Casino del Sol in Tucson, Arizona.

Beltran who stepped in for Eduardo Lazcano who pulled out of the fight with a shoulder injury stunned the world rated Magdaleno when he dropped him in the fourth round with a well-timed left counter but Magdaleno quickly got up and went after Beltran with both fists flailing and battered the Mexican for the rest of round four.

Magdaleno started putting on the pressure and in round seven dropped former title challenger Beltran forcing his corner to throw in the towel at 2:28 of the round after he was battered and sent reeling into the ropes.

With the win Magdaleno improved to 22-0 with 8 knockouts while Beltran dropped to 36-8-1 with 20 knockouts.
