
PACQUIAO GUEST OF HONOR AND SPEAKER AT 12TH ANNUAL ?FLASH? ELORDE BOXING AWARDS

Pound for pound king, ?Fighter of the Decade? and reigning WBO welterweight champion, Congressman Manny Pacquiao will be the guest of honor and speaker at the star-studded 12th Annual ?Flash? Elorde Awards at the DusitThani Hotel in Makati on Sunday evening.
Pacquiao who is enshrined in the Elorde Hall of Fame has regularly graced the ?Banquet of Champions? where a host of Filipino world, Regional and Philippine champions are honored along with top officials and personalities involved with boxing.
Aside from Pacquiao, other world champions to be honored at the affair will be WBO super bantamweight champion Nonito ?The Filipino Flash? Donaire, WBO flyweight champion Brian Viloria and WBO light flyweight champion Donnie Nietes.
Also to be honored despite losing her title last Sunday in Argentina is the former WBO female super bantamweight champion Ana Julaton.
The award for ?Fight of the Year? will go to the WBO Asia Pacific flyweight championship bout between undefeated Froilan ?The Sniper? Saludar who is currently ranked No. 2 in the world and former WBC International minimum weight champion Gabriel Pumar who engaged in a classic ring battle at the Island Cove in Kawit, Cavite last August 6, 2011 in a fight card promoted by Sammy Gello-ani and telecast ?Live? by AKTV IBC 13.
Gabriel ?Bebot? Elorde?s prot?g?, current WBC International super flyweight champion Sylvester Lopez will receive an award for the ?Most Promising Boxer.?
Two exciting title fights will spice up the program with Monico Laurente (21-7, 5 KO's) facing Rey Las Pinas (15-5-4, 10 KO's) for the vacant Philippine bantamweight title and veteran southpaw Dennis Laurente (41-4-5, 22 KO's) defending his Philippine welterweight title against Eusebio Baluarte (19-5, 12 KO's).
