CONGRESSMAN Emmanuel Pacquiao will be donating the brand new uniforms of the 400 newly-graduate reservists of the Philippine Army based in Malungon, Sarangani Province.

Pacquiao, also a PA reservist with a rank of Lt. Colonel, announced it during his speech at the closing program of the Special Basic Citizen Military Training (SBCMT) Class 01-2011 last Monday at the Malungon municipal gym.

Pacquiao urged the new reservists led by their Atla-e Barangay Captain Henry dela Cruz ?to do their role and defend our freedom in the service of the Filipino nation.?

?You must be role models and always abide the constitution and the rule of the law,? said Pacquiao, who was awarded a plaque of appreciation for his invaluable support to the training program that started last October.

Pacquiao also led the distribution of the certificate and awards together with Sarangani Gov. Migs Dominguez, Malungon Mayor Reynaldo Constantino, 12RCDG Deputy Commander Col. Pablo Liwan Jr., ARESCOM group commander Col. Sufronio Catalan Jr. and LTC Gregorio Warren Manilay.

Training officer 2Lt. Raydez Acosta presented the reservists, which include five female graduates Amilou Castillo Varela, Jeany Castillo Cabaong, Josephine Lao Castillo, Anna Mae Tizon, Frannnie Lumahang and outstanding trainee Helen Diagone.
Diagone earned the certificate of merit for obtaining the highest rating in physical fitness test for female with a grade of 91 percent while it was Rolly Eday for the male with 94 percent.

Dominguez, also a Philippine Navy reservist, reminded the first batch ?to give the highest honor for their uniform.?

Constantino, on the other hand, believes that ?the successful program could be replicated in the other six municipalities of Sarangani.?

?This is a Manny Pacquiao-inspired program in support to our very good friend, who is the most popular reservist in the country today,? Constantino added.
