New York. NY - Two of boxing's best were in New York City today to promote their upcoming June 9, 2012 fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Welterweight champ Manny Pacquiao will defend his belt against undefeated junior welterweight standout Timothy Bradley in a bout which will be televised on pay per view by HBO.

The event was hosted by Top Rank Promotions at the Lighthouse of Chelsea Piers at the West Side of Manhattan. Both fighters brought their respective spouses, coaches and important members of their teams in an event flocked by the New York media and some international outlets as well.

Bob Arum, CEO of Top Rank Boxing served as the Master of Ceremonies of the press conference. "This is going to be quite a fight," Arum said. He also informed everyone that tickets for this fight go on sale tomorrow at the MGM and various Ticketmaster outlets and also through Ticketmaster.com. "Right now before tickets go on sale, approximately eighty percent of the tickets have been purchased by casinos for various people. But twenty percent of the tickets remain and we expect that there will be a sellout announced probably sometime next week or the week after."

Timothy Bradley, the undefeated WBO light welterweight champ will be climbing one division higher to challenge for Pacquiao's WBO welterweight title. "Eighteen years of my life, I have been training in this game of boxing. I've waited for this moment, this breakout moment. This is my moment. Pacquiao was in his moment. He knows exactly what I'm feeling and what I want," Bradley announced with confidence. "I feel this is going to be a great fight and I am up for the challenge. I just want everybody to know that I am not here just for the paycheck. I am here to win this fight. If you see me fight before, you know I come to fight. That night is going to be a war with Manny Pacquiao.

Manny Pacquiao meantime, will be defending his WBO welterweight belt for the fourth time against the unbeaten Bradley. "I am sure that it's going to be a good fight because of Tim Bradley's style. He loves to fight toe to toe. He keeps coming inside but my problem is the head butt, so we need to watch that," he said smilingly. "I am pretty sure that we can give a good fight and that we can create a lot of action on June 9th," said the acknowledged pound for pound best of boxing.

The fighters pose for pictures after their time in the dais and had roundtable interviews with members of the press. Both Pacquiao and Bradley enjoyed their time in the limelight as they promote their fight that is to take place in the boxing capital of the world, Las Vegas, Nevada. The event was attended by fans, most of them Pacquiao fans who cheered and chanted for him. They got the opportunity to get close to him as Pacquiao approached them on his way out of the venue. He signed numerous items for them and pose for pictures from fans and members of the media as well.
